Edit Test Case Attributes

Click Edit test case attributes to open the editing dialog.

adds a new test case attribute to all test cases of your TPT project; the name of an attribute must be unique.
removes the selected test case attribute from all test cases of your TPT project; any content in that attribute will be deleted too.
moves the selected attribute up /down; the attributes' order affects the way the attributes are displayed in the Test Case Details view.

Attribute column

Select an attribute to change its settings in the Details section. Double-click on it to change its name.

Copy

The value of an attribute can differ from test case to test case, for example an ID number. By default, the attribute value is copied when you copy the test case. If you do not want to copy an individual attribute, deselect its Copy checkbox.

Free Text

Allows to enter free text (styled text and autocompletion is supported). Any given hyperlink is automatically linked (configured in the TPT Tool Preferences under General Settings|Workbench).

Check box

Allows to select YES or NO as value.

File

Like free text but with autocompletion for paths and three dots button "..." for linking to a single file, see Test Case Details - Attach a File. No styled text available.

Enumeration (select one)

The enumeration must be unique and must not contain a comma. Commas are automatically replaced by semicolons.

To form main groups of enumerations, set a slash after the group name, for example foo/one, foo/two.

Create enumerations for a Test Case attribute

The enumerations are displayed in the Test Case Details view in a drop-down list. The enumerations are also shown when you press Ctrl + Space in the respective attribute value field.
